LeBron James made entirely out of balloons.

To me, this is just kind of creepy…

nba big - 2012 finals

okc thunder vs. miami heat. history will be written, and the crown of the next dynasties will be made here.

i’m rooting for okc - why? i hate the heat (more specifically, lebron james). this is due to several things - how he behaved when he announced the team he was joining in 2010, his disappearing act in 4th quarters (which is getting better this year), and his branding of being the “king” of the nba. sorry lebron, you need to get a ring and then catch up to kobe before you can say you are the “king” of the current nba.

as for okc, they went through a gauntlet of former champions in the western conference - every western conference team that has won the finals since 1998 - san antonio spurs, los angeles lakers, and dallas mavericks - to get to the finals this year. okc’s team and bench have been a catalyst of hard work, youth, and good management that has them poised and ready to win this year.

miami can win - don’t get me wrong here - but they need to play their A game every game. okc has a bigger margin of failure than the heat do. if one of their big 3 don’t show up, it’s game over for the heat.

my prediction here is that okc will win it in 6. let’s see if okc agrees with me.

“We didn’t think about it ‘cause that’s not what we were about. From college, I was trying to figure out how to beat Larry Bird.”

  • Magic Johnson on LeBron James joining Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh on the Miami Heat.

“I remember back in my days, I’d rather play against Earvin Johnson than play with him. He’s a guy I always compared myself to. I’d rather stay in Boston and let him stay in L.A. and just compete every year in the Finals. That’s what made me a better player. It would have been too easy if we had played together.”

  • Larry Bird

There you have it. With this quote, three of the greatest, giving their thoughts on how the LeBron James move was just not…right.

lebron james picks today where he will land in a narcissistic showing on espn at 9 pm est/6 pm pst. he has made this free agency into the biggest unnecessary hoopoola, and this is coming from me being a general sports/basketball fan, not a lakers fan here. he has gone from what was one of the biggest and best (one of, not the) players to someone who now can’t apparently “win” without another alpha dog (dwayne wade), and huge role-player (chris bosh; yes, to all you toronto fans, bosh was nothing but a glorified role player).

what’s going to happen if this team (the miami heat apparently) fizzles and they don’t make it past the first round due to you having three all-stars and 9-10 minimum-salary free agents? or if wade and james turn against each other?

i’m glad the lakers are all but pretty much done, with just needing to address derek fisher and raja bell. lebron needs to think this through, as this can define how he is viewed for the years to come, as to someone who cared about his roots, dynasty, championships, or as someone who had to get help from another superstar to win.

bill simmons points it out pretty well, which i grabbed a few quotes from him below.

all in all, we’ll see how lebron james sees how he views his future tonight.

paul pierce, and the boston celtics, up 2-0 in their series vs dwayne wade and the miami heat, were tied at 98-98 into the dying seconds of the game, and paul pierce does what he does best - make clutch shots when needed. the question is, why didn’t anybody foul him?

is d.wade gone now? you’d like to say 100% now but there’s talks that pat riley has some moves up his sleeve to shakedown the entire team for d.wade… we’ll see come june/july.
